The former West Ham and Aston Villa man is available on a free transfer after activating a release clause in his contract after West Ham's relegation. The vastly experienced player is believed to want to stay in England.

StickyToffee Verdict: A decent player but not one that we need to bring in - he would only be a squad player. Centre midfield is an area we have an abundance of players; Fellaini, Rodwell, Arteta, Osman, Cahill, Heitinga and Neville can all play there, and so I can't see this one happening.
