Everton's U18 side will play friendly matches with Exeter City, Rochdale, Marine, Kilmarnock and Coventry City ahead of the start of the Premier Academy League on August 20th.The academy players linked up with the first team on the recent trip to Austria, and will kick-off their pre-season tomorrow with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Exeter City.
The youngsters will also travel to America later this month, and coach Neil Dewsnip says that the trips will have a positive impact on the squad. Speaking to evertonfc.com, Dewsnip said: "it is a packed programme. We are very happy with it and it is an exciting few weeks for us.
"Going to Austria and the States is new this year, while we also have some very competitive games."
