Reserve Midfielder Signs For County

Ex-Everton midfielder Jon Nolan (right, above) has this week signed for Stockport County. The teenager, who joined Everton as a 7-year-old, was released by Everton earlier this year.

Nolan had a trial with Watford back in April along with Moses Barnett (also of Everton), but the then Watford manager Malky Mackay chose not to sign the youngster. Mackay said: "The Everton lad (Nolan) has tweaked his knee and has gone back up to Everton so neither of them will be signing."

The 17-year-old was revealed as a Stockport player on Thursday alongside Tranmere youth product Ryan Fraughan and John Miles, who was once on Liverpool's books.
