The move had appeared to be off due to the clubs having different valuations of the player and the match-fixing scandal in Turkey which has seen over 15 Fenerbahce officials arrested.
The Mirror report that Fenerbahce are back in touch in an attempt to push a £2m deal through. It is only a third of Everton's £6m valuation but it would give David Moyes cash to play with as he attempts to bring in a couple of new players before the end of the transfer window.
A potential hitch remains though - Fenerbahce need permission from the authorities to sign players as part of the probe into match-fixing allegations.
