Everton Draw Blades

Everton have been handed a home tie against Sheffield United in the second round of the Carling Cup.

Everton were seeded for the draw, which took place on Thursday night. Trevor Francis pulled Everton's number 6 ball (or rather, cube) out of the hat (or rather, box) to hand Everton a home tie against the Blades.

The draw sees Phil Jagielka and Steve Simonsen face their former clubs, and will be played on Wednesday, 24th August with an 8pm kick-off.
