Reports in France this morning suggest that Everton are one of a number of clubs interested in a loan move for out of favour Marseille striker André-Pierre Gignac.A talented forward, Gignac is in high demand and Everton may have to beat St Etienne, Lorient, Fulham, Blackburn, Genoa and Olympiakos to his signature.
It's unlikely that we would sign him, then, but the rumour has been published throughout the French media, including on French football website lefigaro.fr.
The reports suggest that Marseille may want to offload Gignac to make way for Juventus striker Amauari.
