Teenage Everton centre-back Shane Duffy has signed for League One side Scunthorpe United on an initial month-long loan deal.
Duffy spent a month on loan at Burnley last season but only played one game at Turf Moor in his stint there.
The 19-year-old began his career in Ireland with youth side Foyle Harps before joining Everton in November 2008. He made his Everton debut as a substitute in the 0-1 win over AEK Athens and followed that appearance up with a 90-minute appearance against BATE Borisov.
And the youngster has now been sent to Glanford Park for a month-long loan deal that could be extended further if it proves a success.
