Everton have been handed a home tie against West Bromwich Albion in the third round of the Carling Cup.Phil Thompson of all people handed us a home fixture and Roy Hodgson's men were selected as the visitors to Goodison.
Everton reached the third round courtesy of a 3-1 win over Sheffield United, whilst West Brom won 0-4 away at Bournemouth.
The tie will take place in the week commencing 19th September. The full draw is as follows:
