Everton's preparations for the 2011/2012 pre-season are starting to take shape as the club have announced friendlies against Birmingham City and Oxford United.The Birmingham fixture will take place at St. Andrew's on Saturday, July 30 after the mini-tour of America. The Midlands club have just been relegated to the Championship but will provide strong opposition for Everton.
In the season just finished we won 2-0 at Birmingham thanks to an own goal and a trademark Tim Cahill header. In the reverse fixture at Goodison we drew 1-1, with John Heitinga grabbing our goal.
In addition to the Birmingham friendly, an Everton XI will face Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium on Friday, July 29.
