Nigerian Daniel Amokachi will pull on the royal blue jersey once again this weekend alongside a host of ex-Blues as they compete in the annual Mersey Masters tournament.The Nigerian, who became a cult hero at Goodison Park largely thanks to his brace against Tottenham in the 1995 FA Cup semi-final at Elland Road, will line up alongside other former Everton players including Peter Beagrie, Neil Pointon, Tony Grant and Graham Stuart, who also scored in the famous 4-1 win over Tottenham.
The Echo Arena is the venue for the tournament and the Blues will be competing against Liverpool, Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton and reigning champions Tranmere. The action gets underway at 4pm and is live on Sky Sports.
