A trio of Everton players have been in action for their loan clubs this past week. Here's how they fared:
Shane Duffy's Scunthorpe United suffered a thoroughly disappointing week. The Irish defender played in the 0-1 defeat to Oldham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy midweek and then in the 2-3 League reverse to Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Jose Baxter also played twice in the week. Tranmere's Johnstone's Paint Trophy match against Accrington Stanley was sadly abandoned due to a horrific neck injury to Stanley's Tom Bender, although Baxter got an assist in the draw at Charlton on Saturday.
Luke Garbutt made his debut for Cheltenham Town in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek as the Robins put in an excellent performance to win 1-3 at Wycombe. And on his first league start, against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, he assisted Cheltenham's first goal.
