It was an extremely quiet night for Everton's players on the international stage.
Tim Cahill and
John Heitinga were injured,
Marouane Fellaini was suspended for Belgium's match against Kazakhstan,
Phil Jagielka and
Leighton Baines were unused substitutes and
Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and
Seamus Coleman were left out altogether.
That meant that the only Everton player to feature was goalkeeper Jรกn Mucha. Tim Howard's deputy played for Slovakia in their 0-1 loss to Russia in Zilina.
